whenever we ate out at greenwich, kids always ordered overload special and of course lasagna. lad was complaining that the lasagna plate was becoming smaller, at the end he would always tell me, “mom why wont you make some at home”…
my kids, including me, were pasta fanatics. whenever i do my grocery, there has to be at least three kinds of pasta in the cart; spaghetti, of course, then, elbow mac, or penne. i did  skipped out the penne and chose the lasagna as requested by the lad.

so, here’s what i treated them today.

  • boil 10pcs of lasagna pasta until al dente.
  • saute in butter fresh bell peppers, garlic, mushrooms and ground beef until tender.
  • season w/ salt, pepper and worcestershire sauce
  • next, layer the pasta into the plate and spread beef fillings…(as pictured above)
roll each pasta as pictured above
arranged pasta in a greased baking dish
  • then, spread bechamel sauce* all over the dish. garnish could be what’s left of the meat toppings, cheese, and butter shavings (use your imagination for the toppings; it could be bell pepper, bacon….)
bake for 30 minutes at high heat

bechamel sauce: in a saucepan heat butter add flour, milk, cream, dash of salt and pepper.

i’m sorry,  i am no good cook. just want to serve my family. they’re easy to please:)
