when daughter left for her enrollment few days ago, i let her bring this netbook. i so love using this netbook  i can easily carry it in our bedroom and do some browsing while in front f the tv. most of my photos were stored there, as it has bluetooth while the desktop had none. all my music’s there. the only thing i hate about it is it’s 10.1 monitor, but well, it wouldn’t be a netbook if it’s bigger than that, would it? missing it already:(((

now, i’m using this toshiba lappy, owned by the college daughter, it has a 15.4 monitor and displays better than the netbook. hubby decided to let daughter bring the netbook with her because it is more lightweight than this lappy, and it could be easier to fit in her school bag.

AND, AND, THE REAL STORY WAS, THIS LAPPY HAD SURVIVED 2 MUGGING ATTACKS! YES!

• first time was last year in broad daylight, daughter was walking on her way home from school, she was bumped on her left side by a man. she was quick to sensed that the man was eyeing her laptop. she run quickly towards the middle of a busy intersection where a traffic policeman stood. lappy survived!
• second time was just this september. WORSE. AND A SCARY ATTEMPT TO SNATCH THE LAPPY! again, she was clutching the lappy “tightly” (according to her), when suddenly, somebody grabbed it from her and the poor lappy FELL ON THE PAVEMENT. the man who grabbed it was riding in a motorcycle, there were two riders. seeing the lappy fell on the floor, the riders sped off. still in a state of shock, daughter took a taxi and went to school pale faced! LUCKILY, the lappy suffered only a small dent on the right corner.

THAT WAS THE STORY WHY I GOT THIS LAPPY IN EXCHANGE FOR THE NETBOOK.

TAKE CARE ESP. OUR STUDES WHO BROUGHT GADGETS (CELLPHONES) TO SCHOOL. OURS IS A HAVEN OF ALL SORTS OF CRIMES. COMPLACENCY IS A THING OF THE PAST.

                                             
IT IS SATURDAY. TODAY’S THEME IS ABOUT SHOES. STILETTOS, FLATS, BOOTS, WEDGE, GLADS, FLIP-FLOPS, even RUBBER SHOES…endless selection. you can even showcase your IMELDIFIC COLLECTIONS. i have none. but if ever i had the moola, i would buy those than i can wear practically everywhere…shoes that were very comfortable on my feet. like this pair which i often used when i do my grocery. i’m a sucker for flip-flops high such as this IPANEMA GISELE BUNDCHEN WEDGE

mixed up all the ingredients and you have an instant dinner. 
my kids were too happy seeing i had yet another pasta dish!

i had a hard time with today’s theme because i couldn’t pick from the selection of photos i opt to post this week. i originally had 4 book choices, narrowed to two, then finally, decided on these babies…
why? i know, it’s not paperbacks, more of, travelogue. i love the glossy pages and the pictures were beyond amazing. it was published 1979 by Time Life Books.

my aunt, who became my guardian when i attended high school in manila gave this to me on my thirteenth birthday. these were originally 6 books, rebel as i have become in my teens, i left the other two (beijing & paris) when i hastily run away from my aunt. ^_^
these books became my companion unto the realm of teen-age daydreams. together, we journeyed  into every imaginable places. places i’ve come to know, through reading over and over.. said journeys/daydreams taught me ONE GREAT THING…

bought this cupboard few days after we got married because i didn’t know where to store the gifts we accumulate during our wedding in May 1992. using the cash gifts we got, bought this at a local furniture shop for 6500 pesos. it is made up of narra casing and plyboard shelvings..

i’ve been wanting to sell this armoire since last year, for i thought it no longer fit the theme of the house.
but ,one stormy afternoon, while lounging in my chaise, i suddenly find a new space for it, so IT COULD STILL STAY IN THE HOUSE.
i did removed the wedding gifts that were left and replaced with some urns and teapots w/c were my favorites. planning to re-varnish the cabinet this christmas break.

…soon after peeps were gone. prep myself up so i can catch the last hour of barangay election in our nearby elementary school. the school were still teeming with people. some have gloomy faces, while some were too eager to claim victory. i so hate the staff who pour the ink on my forefinger. look here.

soon after the last few minutes of the election were called out…torrential rain poured out like there’s no tomorrow. howling winds nearly looks like my bro’s house were buried in smoke!

Hubby has always been very organized to every little things, be it in his work, in his paper files, all his tools were kept in a shelf and try to make inventories all the time. but when it comes to his personal things, he sucks! like when he took a bath, he would leave the towel wherever he feels like throwing it. then, he has this habit of messying up things in our comfort room, and worst, he will leave his soiled socks in his shoes! i hate him for those!

much as i hate to admit, i tend to be OC most of the times, especially when it comes to things around the house. everything has to be in proper places, i hate smudges on the counter tops, on our dining table, on the loo, and on the floors, MY! am i OC?

while hubby sometimes likes to procrastinate on things, or maybe he was just trying to send a message that since i am the wifey, it’s my duty to take care of things that concerned him personally. the nerve! well, lovingly and “NAGGINGLY”, i would oblige to his little whims. for there weren’t any single whims of mine that he wouldn’t do. like fixing small appliances in the house, being a plumber when there’s a leak in the pipes, and just be my masseur when dysmenorrhea sets in. oh, i love that! hmmmm…

Waking up to find my kids already in the room greeting me on my birth date:) Asking me, “Mom what are you gonna cook today?” “Can we just go out please, I’m too tired to think what to cook and TO COOK”, I did told them. Their excitement reverberated in our small room. Then, as we were busy with the usual chores some relatives arrived. Yay, I was OBLIGE to prepare lunch. My kids’ gleeful motion became woeful sighs (lol). Hastily, with the help of my bro, we were able to served lunch at 1 o’clock. Hungry like the wolves feasted on these…
