for the past years i’ve been recollecting how we, my dad, mom, and my 2 brothers celebrated our christmas. sounds like i might have amnesia already because can’t seem to remember any celebrations we had when i was a kid. we have new clothes and shoes, as i remember, but we never wake up for noche buena or media noche. this old family picture was taken christmas day of 1982 when we were about to visit dad’s siblings at the city. the only picture i had  for christmas…

so, when i had family of my own and have kids, i make it a point to celebrate each season with a blast, as, hubby always say…“so, our kids can remember the warmth and the love within our family…”

christmas is a long holidays for most of us filipinos, same with our family. this year’s celebration started with hubby’s bday, 19th december, then noche buena, then came daughter’s 26th december debut, then media noche, then my late father’s supposed 80th bday. imagine all the food at those events!
AND, BUT OF COURSE, I WOULDN’T FORGET THE ABUNDANCE OF GIFTS AND BLESSINGS WE HAVE RECEIVED THIS YEAR.

have lost my father last november 19th, such a tragic loss for me and my two sibs…knowing that he is with our mom now in the hands of our CREATOR…acceptance fades away the sorrows.

life may be abyssmal. and, i am one person who’s never put down my optimism when struck by any failures or sadness.because, with loving people all around us, life is exhilirating enough to enjoy it.
what joy sweet people brings, who always remember us in every occasion there is…MY SIL WHO NEVER FAILS TO SEND A PACKAGE FULL OF GOODIES AND STUFFS FOR THE KIDS…
“melissa, you are the sweetest person on this planet. wishing you more health and blessing so you could continue to be a joy to everyone else.”

the last perfume melissa gave me was still under the “wrap”…and the cosmetics, still in vague what to do with the “lot”…thanks, again, dearie, mwahhh.

and forgive my sanity, mommy rose, who host NOSTALGIC MARVELING…i am such a narcissistic devil who can’t resist showing off the many blessings we have this season. GOD IS GREAT!

though not on sale, hubby gave me the signal that i can take this home, yey!
this LCD was on sale for 25k @ABENSON’S, hubby says we’ve saved almost half the price since our old one cost almost 50k some years back
thanks to my other SIL for the lovely earrings
and,of course hubby for the precious ring. GOD IS GOOD WHO BLESSED US WITH WONDERFUL FAMILY AND FRIENDS. INSPIRING ENOUGH TO DO GOOD UNTO OTHERS, TOO.

About menopause and being in fabulous 40's… not until I accepted the fact that I am at this age and our body change…did I became positive and feel prettier lol!! Added to that with a hubby who always appreciate my looks even if I have the scariest hair and driest skin of the day… makes me more confident. ^_^

Yes, it pays to count our blessings on all occasions. Though your father passed away last November, it did not dampen your exuberance for life and the sense of gratitude for all the blessings God has bestowed on you not only last year but the previous years as well. We can never fathom the reasons for everything that happens in our lives but we know that God, in all His wisdom and grace, will do for us what is best for us. You are so blessed my friend. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
